Lindy-Lee head

Lindy started her career as an article clerk at Hills Howard in 1999. At the end of her contract, she made the move to commerce, working as a Financial Accountant for Scribante Construction (Pty) Ltd. After working for Scribante for 5 years, she was offered the position of Financial Manager at Murray & Roberts Construction (Pty) Ltd. Lindy enjoyed a successful 2 years in this role before having her second child.

Lindy decided she needed a new challenge and returned to the financial sector a few months later. She worked in a managerial position at an accounting firm in Hillcrest for 4 years, overseeing all work-in-progress, streamlining workflow, managing staff, and building relationships with a wide variety of clients. Armed with this experience, Lindy and Nix founded Guardian in 2014 – by Lindy’s own admission “It is simultaneously one of the scariest and most rewarding decisions I’ve ever made. Nix and I are determined and driven business partners who dove-tail and complement each other’s skills at every turn.”

Lindy is a Professional Accountant (SA) registered with SAIPA, as well as a registered tax practitioner with SARS and a Commissioner of Oaths.

Nicola Wichmann

Nix has worked in a chartered accounting environment for the last 25 years, discovering a passion for accounting very early on in her career. She left South Africa for the UK in her early twenties and ventured fearlessly into the international market, only leaving 9 years later. It was a life experience that rewarded her with a solid grounding, maturity, discipline, knowledge and skills on which she has built a successful career.

Nix is a member of the South African Institute of Business Accountants and continued to work as a consultant on her return to SA, allowing her the flexibility to build her own business simultaneously. Nix and Lindy founded Guardian in 2014. Says Nix, “Our working relationship is so strong because we have the same ideals and work ethic – qualities we also look for in our client relationships. This is undeniably our winning formula.”
